چکیده
Salmonella enterica is the principal causative agent of salmonellosis, a threat to human health. Because its high antimicrobial resistance potential, has become worrisome, mostly in developing countries where hygiene and usage are defective. This study aimed determine epidemiology intestinal carriage Extended Spectrum β-Lactamase producing from chickens poultry farmers Dschang, town western region Cameroon. A total 416 72 were sampled between May October 2020; isolated subjected extended spectrum β-lactamase screening. Logistic regression was used test for statistical associations using p-value ≤0.05. Results this revealed that prevalence 55.77% [51.00; 60.54] 22.22% [12.62; 31.82], respectively. Meanwhile, 23.08% [13.76; 32.40] 5.55% [0.26; 10.84] farmers, The risk factor be lack knowledge by actors livestock industries antibiotic resistance. Chickens, just like represent starting point community which difficult cure; therefore, sensitization breeders an effective tool mitigation burden.

Phenotypic and genotypic studies of extended spectrum beta-lactamase (ESBL) resistance among Salmonella isolates from poultry sources in Iran
BACKGROUND: Poultry and poultry products are among the major sources of Salmonella infections for humans. Increasing occurrence of antimicrobial resistance among Salmonellae has become a serious public health concern. The detection of extended spectrum b-lactamase (ESBL) producers among Salmonella spp. has increased in recent years. OBJECTIVES: The purpose of this study was to investigate the a...
متن کاملDetection of Extended Spectrum Beta Lactamase Producing Salmonella spp. and Multidrug Resistance Pattern
Background: and Objectives: Salmonella infections are endemic in many developing countries with poor sanitary conditions, but emerge sporadically as a serious public health threat in developed countries. Infections with multidrug resistant (MDR) strains of Salmonella have been associated with treatment failures. Salmonella spp. resistant to extended spectrum cephal...

Therapy of invasive human salmonellosis is complicated by increasing antimicrobial resistance. Food animals are the principal source of infection with nontyphoid Salmonella. We report the emergence of broad-spectrum-cephalosporin resistance in Salmonella enterica serovar Kentucky in poultry in Ireland.

Background: There is a growing concern on the impact of the presence of extended-spectrum β-lactamase (ESBL) producing Escherichia coli isolated from animals on public health. OBJECTIVES: The aim of this study was to investigate the presence of three classes of ESBL genes in E. coli isolates from sheep and broilers at a slaughter in Urmia region, Iran. METHODS: A total of 111 E. coli isolates w...

Abstract Background and objectives: The increase of ESBL producing E.coli can create a tremendous difficult y for the health system. These isolates leads to rapid transmission of causative genes to other clinically important bacteria and synchronously increased resistant to other antibiotics. This study was carried out to determine the prevalence of this isolate and related genes in Gorgan, Nor...
